I'd jump on it. The best price I see on ammoseek is $319.80 plus $12 shipping for 142 gr target loads.

He said factory loaded. Was loose packed, but now packed in 80 round boxes. Said he got it from an ammo warehouse.

Any idea of bullet weight? $300/k for 125g wouldn't interest me as I'm not fond of the lighter loadings (just my personal preference) but if it were for the 158g stuff, well I'd be trying to find a way to make it happen...

Wife won't be happy, but, when my Grandma died a few weeks ago, turns out she got me a 200.00 savings bond back in 1985. Cashed it out this week. Will have a little left over. Don't shoot .357 that much. But. Now I should have some.

I don't remember you having a .357 so offer him $225 and sell it to me.

    +1

I too would prefer 158gr, either LSWC or LSWCHP

Just got back, Richard, I do have a .357 S&W 66. Plus a lever action rifle. Ammo is packed in 85 round boxes. Looks a little dirty. But happy.

Now that you mention it I think I recall you having that S&W and the rifle. Isn't the lever action a Puma?

Took the son out last Thursday, he wanted to shoot the Puma. He did a great job hitting targets out to 100 yards. I am going to take him shooting again this Saturday. Got to get him ready for deer season! Next question. Should I let him use hollow points or lead nose for deer?

Lead, it's a relatively low powered round compared to most centerfires so you need the penetration to get to the vitals. It will expand, just not as explosively. I've used both and the lead SP were definitely better. My go to round now is LSWC hard cast Kieth style bullets out of both the .357 and the 38. Call me a dinosaur but I go with what works.
