    Question Skin that smoke wagon!

When you carry a handgun what kind of holster are you using?

This is my three inch S&W 610 in an unlined, O'Rourke pancake rig. I like it a lot. Also works with my other 3" and 3.5" N frames.

Go ahead and pull it, pull that hog leg!

It's the only revolver I own.

    Falco "comfortable leather holster".

I don't use a regular holster, but rather have metal clips on the carry Glocks.

It's a quote from Doc Holiday (Val Kilmer) in Tombstone. "Skin that smokewagon" means "draw your gun". Just wondering what kind of "skin" folks are using for their "smokewagons"?

Very classic looking rig. Is that a Remington 1858?

I generally carry a G26 in a Blackhawk Serpa Paddle holster.

The quote was actually Kurt Russell (Wyatt Earp) from Tombstone when he was running Billy Bob Thornton out of the saloon.

Crap, thought it was Doc. He's the one that kept making those little comments like being his huckleberry and stuff. Great movie though.

Here's my Ruger 44 special flat top with it's Hunter holster - a cheap but nice holster - I really like the design:

Hmm, I usually take pics of the pistols by themselves... I have holsters for most of them - I favor El Paso Sadlery and Cross Breed - I've only got one cross breed but it's a goody and the one I use most.

That's a nice looking setup. I've love to have that Ruger in a 45C/45ACP convertible. Something about that 4 5/8" that I really like and while I don't shoot 45 Colt or 44Mag/44 Special I do shoot and reload 45 ACP hence the desire for a convertible model.

It's not. That just seems to be what the majority have posted so far.

    Thumbs up

Richard, Lipseys has what you are looking for - only its 5 1/2" barrel... but it's a flat top convertable - 45 Colt/45 ACP. http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.as...=Single+Action

And if you don't mind the "ears", they have exactly what you're looking for: http://www.lipseys.com/itemdetail.as...=Black+Polymer

Thanks for the info. I'd prefer to find a used one, locally it I can but having options doesn't hurt either. Ran across one earlier this year with the 7.5" bbl. Kind of wish now that I'd have considered it but it was and still isn't quite what I wanted.
