    New to me 94 trapper

I've been a lever action buying spree this year, so to top it off I picked this up yesterday, it's a lightly used 94 trapper in 3030 caliber. It has no safety, case hardened receiver and walnut stock (it came with plain stocks I added XTR checkered wood for the pictures). $400 and I took it home I think I've finished my must buys as far as lever actions go. My plan is to have them all in a wall mount at the farm for easy access.

    Question

mriddick, any idea as to the actual age of your 'new' 94?

I believe by the serial number it's an early 80s production. It's only about 2000 off from the last data I was able to find on the net (which stated that number was 1982 production). My XTR is a 1979 and doesn't have the rebounding hammer, I've been trying to nail down exactly when the rebounding hammer was introduced but haven't been able to find that out yet.

    That is pretty nice.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

I did, they stop about 1982 production and mine is about 2000 above their last number.

Is it a top eject or angle eject version?

It's a AE without safety, oddly they list the rebounding hammer to of started sometime after the 6 million serial number range, mine is well before that.
