Is It Me Or Did Black Friday & Cyber Monday Suck For Firearms?

I was looking into buying a glock 29, mossy 500, or winchester sxp for one of the holidays but couldn't find anything. I usually shop at budsgunshop.com or impact guns but NO ONE had any deals going on. The usual ammo places weren't having anything and cheaper than dirt had garbage. I was a little disappointed.

Guns do not normally discount like TV's, about as good as it gets is maybe a Dick's or Dunhams who will run some on sale.

A local store had some sales but it was more of a "buy a gun at normal price and get a $10 store card." Last year I remember seeing some good deals. Shoulda woulda coulda.

Not enough markup on most firearms to allow for a good sale on new ones.

Yeah, they were an awesome price. I'd build them up in a hurry, b/c I think Obamao has plans for our hobby in the future.

As for gun sales, the market is strong, so no real need to discount. I myself have completed my collection, for the most part. I could still use a single stack 9, and there are at least another half dozen models I'd like to get. But I can live with what I have, if necessary. Throw in the fact I'd rather buy food and tools, and I don't have much left over for guns.

Wally World had Federal .223 on strippers, in an ammo can 420 count for $149. I think Gander Mountain had the same for $139. There were several deals out there.
