    5 months ... seriously?

    I sent in a couple form 1's on September 15th ... 12 weeks ago.

I called the BTAFE last Thursday to check on the status. The gal that answered the phone said they went pending on October 6th.

So I ask; "whats the typical wait after that?"

She said "we're running about 5 months"

"Ok" says I ... and hang up the phone.

Fox News on line has a news story about the run on guns. Sales are up 30%. Ruger reached 1 million orders and cut off taking further orders. I think gun owners know that the Repbulican Party is going to put another Rino up for Prez and Obama will be reelected as a result. They worry that Obama will turn his attention to gun bans this time around having already dicked the nation's health care and loaded the Supreme Court with rabid leftist communists, Soto Mayour and Cagen.

    Angry

If you think that's bad, the wait period currently in my state of Illinois is well...forever.

I've also heard that five months is about normal, these days.

The only way this will change is if your congress critter gets envolved. The only whay that will happen is if you file a constituant complaint.

Six months has been the norm since last year. 7/5/11 mailed to 1/4/12 received on my most recent, and I'm a SOT.

They're too busy running guns to the cartels to process paperwork quickly.

    6 Months? I wish...

    I've been averaging 2 returns a week.

Most of them are running right at 7 months.

That reminds me of a new member's first post over at silencertalk a while back. Guy was asking how to do illegal stuff. The very first post from one of the OGs was something to the affect, "Shouldn't you be back at your desk processing my Form 4?"
