Breaking News: Kevin Brittingham Escorted from Advanced Armament Corp. Premises

Posted on December 21, 2011 by Nick Leghorn

There are “credible reports” this afternoon that Kevin Brittingham, founder and head honcho at Advanced Armament Corp., was escorted from AAC’s Atlanta-based factory by company security this afternoon. Escorted, as in “fired,” “let go,” “spending more time with the family.” Kevin has had some prior scuffles with Freedom Group, the company that bought Advanced Armament in 2009 for oodles of cash and is the gigantic corporate owner of brands like Remington and Marlin among others. But there was nothing to indicate a possible leadership change at AAC might be in the works. We flew down to AAC HQ a few months back and interviewed Kevin (full interview here), but here’s the part that might interest you…

Ah, some more lovely big corporate bureaucracy showing its ugly head. Firing the owner of a company they bought out. How classy.

I was kind of looking forward to buying a suppressor from them in a couple years, but time will tell what they do to the business.

    What a shame.

Hope Freedom Group doesn't screw up the growing popularity of the .300 BLK.
If I had a dollar for every time CAPITALISM was blamed for problems caused by the GOVERNMENT, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap.

12 string guitars only have 6 extra strings, but they're 85 TIMES as likely to be used in a song about wizards.

not liquidate, just turn production to crap so people stop buying them.

has any company gotten a better rep after freedom group bought them?

    There are two points that need to be observed here;
    1. When you sell your company then you don't own it anymore. It's not yours you no longer make the final decisions about that company.
One might think this is such a simple concept that it doesn't need to be repeated but this is what the former owner said in an interview at the link,
and me trying to explain to them that to me, I own this business and I appreciate the money and understand how money is made and it’s like… What is our goal?
When you take the money you give up the company.
You become nothing more than an employee at your FORMER company.

If you don't want to follow orders then don't take the cash.

    2. The whole "Cerberus is going to stop all gun manufacture in the US" thing needs to die right here.
The following is a partial list of the US firearm makers NOT owned by Freedom Group:
    Ruger
    Colt
    Smith&Wesson
    Winchester
    Springfield Armory
    Rock River Arms
    Armalite
    Bond Arms
    US Ammunition Makers:
    Winchester
    Hornady
    Federal
    Speer

    Please let this meme die.
    For the children.
This is just my opinion and it's entirely correct.

Winchester firearms have been foreign owned since 1992. They are currently a part of the same group that owns Browning and FN, the Herstal Group.

Thanks to your friend clinton I'd bet you'll never own one, you might get the state you live in to forgive your felony but the feds won't.

I said it was a partial list.
Sorry about Winchester being foreign but Kimber is still privately owned by an American.
    And I left out,
    Kel Tec
    FMK Firearms
    Lewis Machine And Tool
    Stag Arms
    POF(patriot ordnance factory)

And then there are the US subsidiary's
    Para USA
    CZ-USA
Beretta has a plant in Conn I think
    ect...

In fact, excepting the AR-15 pistols, none of Freedom Group's companies make handguns.

So I think we can all put down the sleeping pills, George Soros is not gonna stop making guns for us.
This is just my opinion and it's entirely correct.

That's not really the main concern. I don't think this is some big conspiracy, but I am worried that a successful company is going to be run into the ground by the replacement of an innovator with a bean-counter. Especially with a promising new cartridge hanging in the balance.

Explaine how it is filthy money. The man made a decision, he knew this was possible or he would not have been smart enuff to build the co. in the first place.

Did'nt, just asked. It's not like lucre is a common word. Notice the little pink thingies? I think that would be a hint towards attitude. ??

According to Federal law, once a state pardons or restores full civil rights on a state conviction, prohibition is lifted:

    http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/gene...ief-alternates

Its only on Federal charges that you can never be forgiven, only because ATF currently isn't funded to handle Federal applications for relief:

    http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/gene...irearms-relief

Which is why G. Gordon Liddy took the following approach:

"I don't own any, but my wife has a very nice collection!"

"That tyranny has all the vices both of democracy and oligarchy is evident. As of oligarchy so of tyranny, the end is wealth; (for by wealth only can the tyrant maintain either his guard or his luxury). I don't know Kevin's state of mentality... but that's not the type of company owner you want to piss off who could, forget going postal, this guy could go nuclear on their asses and do it quietly!

I'm thinking he could them how great the 300 black out is... elevated position, plenty of ammo, suppressor.... "pfft!" Anybody seen bob? Sue, go check on him. "pfft!" Where's sue? She back yet? I'll go check... "Pffft!"

One by one, "Bob Woodruff here reporting from Atlanta, an entire business has been assasinated... police don't have a clue, previous owner/founder Kevin saddened by this tragic loss but has a solid alibi".
