    M1a1

First m1a1 Need to get the breakdown tools for this before I shoot it. Standard model my dealer sold it to a guy who had it out for a month and wanted to trade it back for an ar, $1167 out the door.

Outstanding gun! I love my SOCOM II. Are you going to tac it out or leave it original? I put a 3.5 ACOG and VLTOR modstock on mine for pig hunting.
Edit: if yours doesn't fit that scabbard well I think it's for shotguns

Good looking rifle for a great price. Congratulations.

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

Fits without the mag, probably leave it stock since it's a standard.

http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z...e/IMG_0461.jpg the scope for it, Leupold Vari-x 3 long range 4.5x14x50 with side focus, arms mounts, butler creek caps, 30mm tube, predecessor to the mark 4, now I only need a $150 plus mount and I'll be all set! plus some mags, mabie DAG ammo, Freds Rifleman course, I can see how this could be an expensive lifestyle!

Great weapons, I have enjoyed mine since 1999. To take it down for routine cleaning you don't really need any tools. I have the bolt disassembly tool and haven't used it yet. Upper handguard removal pliers, nice to have but not really needed to take it off the barrel. A small flat blade screw driver will do the job.

Take down as you probably know by now starts by pulling down and back on the rear of the trigger guard, then swing it forward. Pull down on trigger group to remove. Grab rear sight knobs and lift up while holding on to the stock.
