Good deal on sig 556?

So out of the blue I got the urge to hit the crappy local shop today (which is always dangerous, the last time it ended with me buying a new xd .45 tactical) and spotted a sig 556 on sale for $1169, Pretty sure it's the 556xi, but it has a collapseable stock



with the vertical foregrip with flashlight.

so should I jump on it? that seems like a decent price but I'm not up to speed on these at all.

I'd stick with the daewoo.. and pay the $$$ to convert it to PROPER specs.

there's no reason I couldn't have both, I rather liked the sig.

the daewoo might not be that expensive to convert, I think I'm going with the ar stock adapter and throwing on a magpul stock, with pistol grip that should be just under $200 for everything. I'm on the fence about the rail fore end, it does make the gun look super bad assed but I don't know that I would use it.

OK, so it's looking like the best deal is from ace, for $230 shipped I get a stock, grip, trigger group and hardware, so the choice now is do I go with the standard ace stock



an m-4 style stock (which I'll swap for a magpul), or the ultra light?

I almost bought one of the new ones that takes the standard Sig mags... BUT at $49 a 30rd mag they can suck it.

I want one, but until they add a paddle mag release, I will wait. (My finger will not reach the button release, while holding the grip).


As for being a descent price, I dunno. The xi is brand new and still shipping. I visted 2 funstores this week and neither one of 'em had one.

in all fairness I have no idea if it is an xi, it's hard to tell what's what on sig's page, and from what I heard sig's not really concerned with every rifle having the stuff it's supposed to have
