Question Who's got an expensive semiauto

I'm talking mostly about semiauto versions of military full autos.

I've had Large Marge here for a number of years now and really, really enjoy spending time with her.

Would love to add one of these OOW 1917A1's to the collection as well.

Would also love one of these but even compared to the real thing it's a bit much for my wallet.

I know there used to be a lot of 1919A4 and A6 semiautos being bought and built some years back for pretty reasonable amounts but that doesn't seem to be the case any more and the ones available have gone up in price.

Some places are still selling MG34 and MG42 models but you don't see those all that often. Same with the PKM and others.

Anyway, just wondering who else has some these and how you like them and what's on your wish list. TIA

I don't own anything really expensive like the above mentioned.

I guess considering all the parts/accessories/mags I have for my HK93, that would be my most expensive.

I have a SCAR16 my son bought me, doesn't really do that much more for me my SIG556 or any number of AR's won't. It really just sets in the safe for him as I plan on just leaving it to him anyway. I think a 1919 or BAR like the above would of been more interesting.

This is the most expensive gun that I own:

Russian type III AK-47 - on a Firing Line receiver. Maybe $1600.

Everything else I have is much more plebian and run of the mill.

A 2003 Springfield M1A with Smith Enterprises scope mount and Bi-Pod. Topped with Leupold Scope.

    Total invested = $2500.

I remember shooting that up at Potts Slope. Great fun! I can see Stan in that play fort manning the machinegun. You've got to be the coolest dad in town!

Never thought I would spend what I did on one firearm, but I had to have a Steyr AUG.

Most expensive gun I got is my AR

In all honesty my most expensive semi is probably my "limited" class IPSC 45. Next would be the 1919 and my L1A1's.

El Duce, how do you like the scope mount on your 1919 and what kind of scope are you useing?

    Thumbs up

A couple more I'd like to have,

Even as a semiauto this M2 would be expensive to feed, even if you reload.

This would be sweet as well!

This is the most expensive weapon I own:

It didn't start out very expensive, but I ended up with a lot invested in it. It's a very sweet shooter!

Welcome to the group, Lightning 351 !!!

    Nice collection you have there!!!

AK-J, isn't it amazing how some rifles start out reasonable and wind up way out there. Ruger 10/22 is another one like yours that starts out reasonable and you can wind up spending twice what you paid for the original rifle just on accessories!!!

    Nice TIGR ELC!!!!

I like that rifle, I would like to get one like it some day. I can't find an AUG though with a 20" barrel. For that matter I can't find an AUG or an STG-556.
