    Good gunshow

Spent Sat down in Louisville at the National Gun Day show with some friends and managed to work a few deals in between. My son wired me some money and asked me to pick him up a M1A so that was the only thing on my "to buy list" with the rest just being things I've always had an eye out for.

Now for the list...The Poly Tech M14S for my son, it has USGI flash hider/bayo lug, Springfield walnut stock (no FA cutout), ventilated HG, USGI trigger/disconnector and hammer (hopefully got the USA parts count right).
A L1A1 made by CAI , seems to take inch mags but they are very tight, metrics fit better
    A Glock 21 45ACP
    nonimport marked 1916 Nagant pistol
Ruger GP100 6 inch stainless steel 357 mag
    Winchester 94 in 30-30

    Thumbs up

Very nice! You're really getting into those leverguns. You must have 7-8 of them by now. I've even found myself checking them out in my local shops thanksto your posts. Haven't bought one yet but it's only a matter of time before the right deal comes along.

7 is correct , I need a 22 still though and might trade off the Glenfield and get me one of those short Marlin 30-30's.

You got a very nice haul there. What's sad is that a haul like this is impossible in MD. You can buy every firearm there, but not all at once. The lever gun is the only thing you could walk out with. Everything else requires a waiting period. Damn.

When I retire, I'm leaving this liberal-assed state.

Looks like a typical refurb you'd buy for $100 anywhere, except this one didn't have of the accessories they normally come with. Even without the holster and stuff I thought the date was worth alittle extra since it would be my only Czarist date in the collection (paid $125). It was only later when I got to looking at it I noticed there was no import mark, I thought that was pretty neat.

Why would the M14 need a US parts count?
They came in with all the right parts. It wasn't built as a kit was it?

It's a Chinese import and has a bayo lug I don't want to get rid of.

    Congrats on the nice haul!

That Nagant pistol is very interesting.

Prior to the recent gun show here, I made up my mind I wasn't going to buy a gun and went to the show to get some reloading supplies. When that was said and done, I decided to make a final pass. A gent had a scoped Ruger 77 in .270 with ammo, brass and reloading dies for a good price. Since I've had no experience with .270, I went for the package as something new and different. As we all know, sometimes, it's difficult to walk away from a good deal.

Yeah, it can attach a super dangerous knife....

I can't recall at the moment, have yours all been in 30-30 or have you gotten any pistol caliber? You have a 45/70 don't you?

357mag, 44mag, 30-30, 444 and 45-70 are the current lever gun calibers I have, as you can see I'm really lacking in the 22 dept

Oh, OK. I like the venerable 30-30 but a pistol caliber might be my first purchase. You should get one of those "mare's leg" Ranch Hand pistols. Henry and Taurus are putting out.
