Thread: Does the NRA fund the Brady Campaign ?

Does the NRA fund the Brady Campaign ?

where does the Brady Campaign get its money? From the NRA maybe?

WHY? a nice way to drive up membership sells then to have a anti gun group stomping on peoples rights?

How does Rick scott ( soon to be FL governor..) have an A rating by the NRA, When he has never voted, he is new? but the guy is a mega millionaire and more then likely gave the NRA a big check so he can brag about it to gun owners to get more votes? THAT IS WRONG!

He left a homeless man to die outside of his hospital.. He has scammed 100s of MILLIONS from heath care companies.. Just pointing that out...

That's some really deep-think stuff right there. The Brady Campaign funds the NRA. Sure, why not?

Hard to believe someone w/ as insightful an intellect like this only pulls down $4/ hr.

wouldn't surprise me onebit. The NRA is not the 'golden boy' group people think it is. And why not? They have a payroll too, and old wayne has to get paid his 1 million a year......think that grows on tree's? Think they don't need a constant influx of new members? The brady people may not know it, and maybe its done covertly, but it would not surprise me at all. The NRA's WORST NIGHTMARE is a 2nd amendment WORSHIPPING american people, with NO threats to the 2nd. It would put them out of jobs......

Same with this sudden blocking of the shipment of korean garands and carbines. I doubt is did happen, but wouldn't surprise me if the cmp applied preassure to stop it. They SCREW the american tax payer, sell a rifle thats effectively GIVEN to them at 6-900 bucks. We already paid for those rifles, so why screw us again? They don't want competition in the way of 100,000 cheaper rifles being imported. Then THEY would have to lower the rape cost......
    "What sick, barbaric bastards.

It's one thing to use terrorism to make a political statement, but the wanton mutilation and suffering of innocents? How does that forward your political goals? When done in the name of religion, how does that earn you brownie points with God?

Fuck religious extremism. And especially fuck the "religion of peace." "

So, lagcsocialist supports terrorism AS LONG AS ITS FOR POLITICAL ENDS....

If so, they're doing a piss poor job of it. Last I checked, the Brady Campaign was flat-ass broke. Guns are a losing issue on the political front, that's why they're going about gun control through the bureaucracy now rather than through the legislative process. Hide and watch......guns will eventually be deemed a 'health risk' under Obamacare. Sure, you'll still be able to 'own' a gun, you just won't be able to see a doctor if you have one.

Where the fuck is the NRA there not sending emails or getting in these guys faces about our rights... they sit around doing NOTING... FUCK THE NRA!

RICK SCOTT HAS A RATING BY THE NRA! BECAUSE HE PAID THEM!!!!!!!! HE HAS NEVER VOTED!!!! BUT HE HAS A RATING????????

I wonder if the NRA funds the Brady campaign!!!!!! Think about it... what a way to drive up member ship then to start a anti gun campaign..

look at this billionaire JEFF GREENE... wild drugged sex parties on a big boat... he has 10 PIMPS ALL BLACK... look like drug dealers as security gourds.

Double posting is not allowed here. You have gotten your point across, so let this be the last thread on the subject.

    Carry on......

Actually, isn't it thanks to Harry Reid that we actually have no such anti-gun provisions in the Health Care bill? That was one of the deals brokered with the NRA, Harry kills any mention of them being able to asking about guns as a prerequisite of people getting health care.

Maybe....for now. Harry won't always be around. Besides, the Dims will eventually just give some kind of 'enabling powers' to HHS (think of Hitler), which will allow them to bypass Congress on the issue. Think not? Just look at some of our firearm laws. Congress never said that barrels couldn't be imported in a parts kit. That was all ATF.

The CMP is not in business to sell anyone cheap, surplus firearms. Their one and only mission is to promote marksmanship and firearms safety with emphasis on the youth of this nation. The sale of surplus arms and ammo is how they fund that mission. They have NO responsibility to sell for less than the market will bear. If you only view the CMP as a source for firearms then you've missed the bigger picture and that's a shame.

George Soros is behind the Brady Gang. BTW, this is not his birth name, born in Hungary, went to England and got rich......came to America, and got filthy rich....He is a duel-citizen, and hates guns ! (wondering does he pay TAXES ?....if yes......to which nation ?)

It was Slick Willie, who started the clamp down on old government firearms. A few years
back...they destroyed thousands of M-1911s .45 pistols instead of sending them
to CMP. The guy is very SLEEK !

    Question

IIRC the old DCM used to sell surplus 1911A1's but that was before the GCA. Has the CMP ever sold handguns? Their FAQ simply states "No" with regards to whether 45's will ever be sold. Does anyone know if the CMP could sell surplus handguns even if they were available?

The CMP is banned by Congressional Charter from ever selling pistols or full-auto rifles.
For that reason, they're be no 1911 or M9 pistols sold and no M14 or M16 rifles, even if converted to semi-auto.

Thanks D. That's pretty much what I figured. I know Orest has addressed the M14 thing a number of times on the CMP forums but wasn't 100% on the handguns.
