Long time lurker, infrequent poster here. I hate to complain without offering a solution but I am so sick of the liberal propaganda on this site. Every other post is started by a liberal nut job. The old guard has left. This site needs a major overhaul or it's going to die.
Sorry, that's my rant for the day.

We do have some people with a liberal slant on life but I don't think that is a problem, in fact I enjoy discussing things with them. Well, enjoy is not always the word, but having everyone agree is not as challenging!

He knew how to keep the conservative-to-liberal post-ratio in check. Seems like he always started at least 10 new threads a day, and posted replies in at least a couple dozen more. I kind of miss debating that old fart.

No flames. There are quite a few "liberal" members here, and not all of us may agree with them, but one of Gunsnet's greatest attributes has been and still is great freedom to HAVE a different opinion and not get auto-banned like so many other sites do.
And this is precisely the reason that I stayed here after I joined (in 2001 if I recall). I am on several other boards - but they are all technical or programming resources. This is the only "social" site that I use.
I wish I had a way to bring more good people on here. I know they are "out there". Got any ideas?

Gotta agree with you on this one. I wish I knew if he's OK... something must have happened for him to suddenly drop out of sight.
But, he's only one guy. We could ALL help by telling people we know about this site and more importantly get back to the SELF POLICING that we used to do.
Very rarely did threads get out of control and require a moderator to step in. We used to behave ourselves and encourage others to do likewise. Where did that go?
Threads didn't used to degrade into childish pissing matches and drag on for weeks.
