"The God who gave us life, gave us liberty at the same time; the hand of force may destroy, but cannot disjoin them. ... Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just: that his justice cannot sleep for ever."--Thomas Jefferson
Not my cup of tea. I don't really like Nazi guns, I have a hard time getting over that stigma. About the only Nazi gun I would like to buy some day would be an MG-42. I am glad to see some one offering it though. More choices are always nice. I have to wonder though how well it would sell. Something along those lines I think would sell better as a semi-auto replica than a modern tactical version of such an old design.
Doobie Doobie Doo..
Sort of silly to update the rifle like that then leave it in 8x57
Even a 7.62x54r would be more practical, the Serbians have gone over from 8mm to 7.62x54r for their sniper rifles.
If I were more prosperous, I might get one but the chambering alone would take a fortune to feed it when compared to 7.62x51 and especially 7.62x54r.
I like it more every time I look at it though. 7mm Mauser would be even more expensive but would be a more attractive caliber to me. That's a splendid cartridge.
