    This stuff is so cool. It's why I took German in hs, to go to North Africa and recover ww2 armor.

    cool pics but no story of the final flight didn't see any bullet holes in it wonder what happened

    No modern VOR ect... Quite a few went down just from getting lost. Desert and ocean no visual navigation aids either.

    It's not there no more. Scavengers took it apart and carted it off for the metal.

    Looked like he tried a belly landing, bent prop blades show that the engine was still running when it hit the ground.

    Considering how long it has been there and the fact that it crashed on top of that I would say it is in pretty good shape.
