Exclamation Got a new to me Marlin 336CB .38-55, Ruger Vaqureo .32H&R Mag plus ammo for both.

Well last Wednesday I managed to score a never fired Marlin 336CB .38-55 and a never fired color cased/blued Ruger Vaquero birdshead .32 H&R mag plus 100 rounds each for both firearms.

Paid $550.00 for the Marlin and $350.00 for the Ruger.

The .38-55 ammo was $40.00/box from the T's Guns and Ammo out of Texas City, the .32H&R mag is $15-20/box from various sources.

    Marlin 336CB $350.00
    Ammo .38-55 $200.00

Ruger $unknown value, possibly was $500.00 new.
    Ammo .32 H&R $75-$100

These did not have the boxes or papers but I have bought from the seller once before last year I picked up a Springfield Trapdoor with the ramrod bayonet for $600.00. I trust what he tells me that he was a collector mostly and rarely had time to shoot.

The Marlin did have some handling marks on the buttstock near the toe but he told me that this was from his recent move. It did not show signs of firing as did the Ruger. The Ruger had no cylinder line and was really clean.

The best part of the deal was my uncle funded both. I got to keep the Marlin and my uncle kept the .32. We took the .32 to the lease for testing, the Marlin sat in the Vault since I was already traveling heavy with the new AR.

Now I'm too busy since our move and with new building projects at work It will be two weeks before I can get to the range to put the Marlin and AR on paper. I did not get pics of the new Marlin to show here.

The 38-55 has always interested me, seems like a nice cartridge for alot of stuff and should be easy to reload for too.

My uncle has a similar rifle, mine has smooth stocks and his has checkering. He loves this caliber, he had his savage bolt action 30-30 rechambered in .38-55 a few years ago and he took a nice buck with it last season.
