What a bunch of shit! All the troops here use PMAGS, they even sell them in the BX/PX!
I sold all my guns and ammo, now I live the quiet retired life.
Guess the price wasn't right .....
I detect a new career opportunity. Stand outside any army base wearing a trenchcoat lined on the inside with PMAG's whispering "psst, hey buddy, i got the good stuff here" and flash the soldiers like chester the molester.
Which brings us to the real issue. The 0 is just having his beauracrats create new job opportunities for entry level street vendors. If you disagree with this decision then obviously you don't want to see jobs created and you hate poor people.
I've never heard of the army brass being accused of overabundance of common sense....just sayin..
History has a severe case of stuttering complicated by chronic hiccups.
It always repeats itself and it never fails that something will go horribly wrong along the way.
Direct democracy is a gang rape. Eight men vote to rape one woman and the woman has to accept it because the majority decided that it was ok. A constitutional republic on the other hand is eight men and one woman with a full mag. Think about it for a while until it hurts your head.
Wee know who owns Pmag. I wonder which which manufacturer of aluminum mags donated to the Obismal campaign?
The M16 magazine franchise tooling is usually awarded to a Minority Owned business, (Black owned). Additionally, the military mind probably doesn't like asymetrical equipment, meaning different magazines. They are probably thinking it will impact unit efficiency (rolling eyes).
Just one more example of breaking the rule, "If it ain't broke; don't fix it."
the first comment on the article sums it up
I bet this comes from the fact the manufacturer of the "authorized" mags is unhappy they are losing business. Way to put money above troop safety and effectiveness.
i posted this on a couple other forums and there is anecdotal evidence of polymer mags failing after long term use. while this doest merit investigation i seriously doubt it is a widespread problem that woud warrant complete bans on such.
the sometime-arctic-sometimes-sahara condition of the upper plains i live in are hell on PMAGs and they simply dont hold up here. even metal mags fail here in the winter. that doesnt mean they are a poor product. up until the point of failure they operated in acceptable fashion.

It's REMF that have never seen combat that push this type of stuff. Most likely it has nothing to do with anything other than the higher ups want every GI using the same crappy equipment, regardless if there is something better.
I wonder what Daemon would say about that. Didn't he use Pmags in A-Stan?
Telling the truth is treason in an empire of lies.

Steve
After today, it's all historical.
Well that's some good news for our fighting men and women, Pmags not banned afterall.
Looks like some kind of miscommunication As Far as the Pmags use.
Now claiming they were able to use them after all.
Sorry Gunreference didnt see your new post.
