Can't Even Go Shooting

I was hoping that I could go shooting today while I have the day off in San Diego. I looked up my favorite range, thinking I would go do a couple of rounds of trap, but in order to rent a gun you have to go with another person. You only have to rent one gun, but you have to have 2 people. How stupid is that. Why would you want 2 people in order to rent a weapon? I wonder what sort of security it buys them or what lead to this policy.

Sorry to hear that. As you well know, I'm in California, but so far we don't have a 2 person minimum rule at any of the ranges I go to. Of course, when I really want to blow off some rounds, I make the drive and visit friends with tons of forest land (private property). In those rural areas, no one blinks twice when you hear gun fire

Half past June, the carry gun challenge match could use some fresh targets from somebody besides me...hint, hint, hint.

Used to be a half hour drive west of San Diego and I had a lot of places to shoot back in 68/69. I suppose those places have been shut down and built up by now. Used to be fun to shoot in California.
