ATF Releases Revised ATF F4473, Notice to All FFLs and Q&As

Posted on July 6, 2012 by Ammoland

Washington, DC --(Ammoland.com)- It has come to the attention of ATF that as of July 6, 2012, every Federal firearms licensee (FFL) has not received a packet of the Revised ATF Forms 4473, April 2012 edition.

To ensure that you are utilizing the correct version of the form, you may print the Revised ATF F 4473 at http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-4473-1.pdf.

You know, I've filled out more than my fair share of these forms, but really? Do they need 3.5 pages of BS after all the 'important' stuff? Talk about reducing .gov waste, take all that extra shit off the form and how much money could they save?
How do you compromise with someone when their idea of compromise is to give them what THEY want?

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I really like the first paragraph about prisons and fines. Now lets apply this to the batfe and their straw buyers equally, as it applies to fast and furious!!!!!!
Oh wait ...did I not hear that the JD was not going to prosecute E Holder?

    Post And Now It's Profiling?

ATF gun purchase form profiles Latinos and Hispanics

    ATF July 11, 2012
    By: David Codrea

Effective as of this past Monday, the Firearms Transaction Record, widely referred to as the “Form 4473,”which is mandated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for individuals to purchase firearms from licensed dealers, has been modified to require transferees to identify if their “ethnicity” is “Hispanic or Latino,” attorney and author Evan Nappen reported yesterday on the Pro-Gun New Hampshire website.

“Failure to do so will cause potential criminal prosecution and a denial of Second Amendment Rights,” Nappen writes. “The Form 4473 has been around since 1968, but never before has one ethnic group been singled out where individuals have to affirmatively state whether they ARE or ARE NOT a member.”

LMFAO....... Right on: Given that debacle, here is a much better question for the Form 4473 instead of race and ethnicity: “Are you buying this firearm with U.S. Government permission to provide it to death-dealing members of international drug cartels?”

Boy, Holder sure picks and chooses doesn't he?

Filled out the one of the new forms today. It's pretty stupid. They have a separate place where they have you check if you are "Latino or Hispanic" or "Not Latino or Hispanic", then you check if you're Black, White... in the next part. The dealers were only semi-jokingly referring it to the "Zimmerman" question.

Soooooo...If you're a white hispanic female, what do you do then? A white guy from Africa? Or a black latino Asian guy from Peru?

    Just askin'....
