Anyone ever see this with a Glock?

The front of my Glock frame, under the front of the slide is being worn away! I think it's because of the seat frame in my work truck. These are really shitty pics. The nice shiny looking Glock is a nearly new G23 and the one with the shiny steel guide rod and the messed up frame is my G19. I bought this G19 used, probably a little over 5 years ago and I know the frame wasn't like this when I bought it. I think just the constant wearing it on my left side and the constant rubbing on the seat frame has ruined this Glock frame.

I have a Colt M1991A1 Compact 45. It feels like it weighs about 3lbs more than the G19. I am going to start carrying my G30 from now on.

Maybe a different style/make of holster, something that covers more of the muzzle?

    Get a new holster.

Or just say fuck it. It looks like a truck gun anyway. And hell, its a Glock. It ain't supposed to be pretty.

Well that's why I've never liked holsters that let the end hang out.

Even if it were a 1911 it'd be all scuffed and scraped.

You'd be a better off with a cheap nylon holster that actually covers the pistol.

This holster was originally bought for my Glock30. The G30 only hangs out just a gnats ass. I am wondering if this is even safe to shoot anymonre. I will post some better pics later today and get yalls opinion on my safety concerns.

I'd send it to Glock, they might give you a new frame, or not.

    It's just a dustcover.

You could chop it off and the gun would work just fine.

As long as something didn't get into the works through the hole, that is.

I don't think I'd try mounting a light or a laser to it though.

Yeah I kinda figured that out yesterday during a closer exam. While there is still quite a bit of material that has been worn away, this is nothing gone that supports the slide or anything else. It is time for a new and correct holster though.

Or a replacement of that seat in the truck along with a better holster. I gave up on leather holsters with my first Fobus, much better than leather.

It's obvious you're obsessed with them and can't see a post about them without feeling the need to add some put-down. Who are you trying to convince???

Just admit it to yourself you want one and get over it.
