    First build pic

So I've been working a lot and haven't had much free time. Missed the build party a couple of weeks ago. But here is a picture of the kit-hopefully this weekend!!!bulgykit.jpg

Nice kit that should turn out really well.

Good luck with it, looks to be a nice kit. AK 74 I'm thinking given the bolt stem.

I've built a lot of different AK's (47 & 74) and in all honesty, the 74's are always my favorites. I don't know if it's the kits or coincidence but every one of the 74's have come out much better (mechanically AND cosmetically) than the vast majority of the 47's that I've done. The Bulgy kits are usually REALLY nice!!!

Be sure to post progress pics and there's plenty of knowledge here to help if you get stuck!

Here is my Bulgarian built, I purchased the kit from AK-BUILDER.COM along with the flat and rivets, ran 2.000 plus rounds with no hick ups

Enjoy your build! It's been a long time since I put one together - a big part of the draw to me was the cost factor... and that, unfortunately is not longer the situation. But, I have been thinking of getting a kit anyway just for the pure enjoyment of the process - and maybe make something different this time.

My first build was a Bulgy 74. Assembled it on a Armory USA (Global Trades) 1.6mm receiver. Still one of my favorites.

    Here's a pic of it:

    Man, that's beautiful. Lucky you.
Here's a pic of the finished (almost) product. I painted the kit the way it came and put the other stock on it. Now I gotta paint the receiver. Whew, a bit of work but lots of fun.
Took it out yesterday and shot great with open sights, but could not get the scope working right I guess.
