    Mosin with Brass Stacker mount and scope

    Just added a Brass Stacker mount and scout scope to my 1925 Tula. Virtue of this system is that you don't have to remove the rear iron sight. The mount base sits above it. You do have to tap the two pins out of the rear iron site. Mine came out easily.

    Total cost was $127. Everything mounted without problems, took about 20 minutes. Here are some pics:

    That sits up pretty far over the bore and comb. I bet you're going to need to put a strap on comb riser on the stock to get a decent head position relative to the scope.

    Agreed, which is why I went with the Rock Solid mount. Still needed a cheek riser, but not as much of one as this setup will need.
