    I must have this pistol.

    I really have been wanting a semi-auto...but now that I have found out this exists I must obtain one of these fine pistols.

    The Ruger Super Redhawk .454 with a 2.5 inch barrel. That is a lot of firepower in a concealed carry situation.

    My wrist hurts just thinking about shooting it.

    Without the 7.5" plus barrel it doesn't have enough weight for the round... no thanks.

    That's a big BOOM.

    You thinking of hunting Terminators?

    eta, the Super Redhawk is a damn fine gun. You wouldnt go wrong with one, though a slightly longer barrel wouldn't hurt. The standard 7" is quite a deal price wise and it's a popular platform for modification. (The 7" barrel makes it as tad "unweildy" albeit quite accuirate). The DA pull sucks balls, but SA is a joy. JMHO.

    That's not what I'd call anything like an ideal carry gun. Not even really that good for bear protection - I'd rather have at least 4" of barrel. And for me, the 44 Mag is plenty of poop.

    But, go ahead and get it if you like it - to each his own!

    Well, it you get tired of shooting .454 Casull ammo you can always use .45 Colt or .45 Schofield for something a little lighter.

    YOu won't have to hit them with the bullet, the concussion from the overpressure blast at the muzzle should liquify their innards alone!

    LOL That is funny. I have always loved the .454 since I got to shoot one years ago at a local range. Of course that pistol had a much longer barrel about 6-7 inches. Something about a .454 in a snubnose would be epic.

    This is the kind of handgun that everyone at the range will stop to see what the hell is making that boom. I know, I've been that person that had to look at the guy shooting a seven inch 454 one day.

    If the velocity of the .50 isn't enough to puncture your rouge cyborg's carapace, you can always throw reason and sanity out the window with a .460;

    FWIW you can also run .454 and .45LC out of it. The redhawk is going to be a much better deal though.

    I carry these concealed sometimes .........when i feel like lugging around a suitcase

    Seriously though, that short barrel Ruger is absolutely brutal on the web of your hand without a glove. One of my shooting buddies has one and it cut my hand after the 5th round firing 325 grain ammo, .454 casull is a hard, fast recoiling round

    What kind of groups do you get with that scoped pistol? Caliber, make, model of pistol, grain and brand of bullet, and distance?

    I shot one like that at a range a few years ago...loved it. What make of pistol is that?
