    How can you identify the D & M model sks's?

    they take the ak mags,iv always beleived the m's to be short sporters,the longer 20' barreled are the d's,,iv had both and the short one came with a ugly green butthole stock,the longer one hada pretty birch stock....they had different magwell setups and the shorty seemed beetter designed ,although i never had a problem with either.someone shopuld chime in here in a minute with more info.survivors sks boards are a great place for sks info

    My M model has an M in the serial number...Not sure if that's pertinent info.
