    Personally, I'd get whatever is closest to the standard AK build. That way everything will just work and plenty of aftermarket accessories will fit. Even if it's a little bit cheesy, stick with the original. The AK is the most popular and the most reliable rifle on Earth -- literally. Stick with an original. It won't let you down. I just love my SA-93.

    A friend of mine has an AK that the trunion area rivets bent, he sent it off to get it fixed and after he got it back less than a hundred rounds later they were bent again. Does he need the buffer or could this be a sign of a warn out recoil spring?

    keep the bolt carrier from smacking the rear trunion.

    Did you get that Saiga from the link? It's 999.99 now. Was it on sale then?
