Different shotgun on Gunbroker: Techno Arms MAG-7

I came across an unusual shotgun on Gunbroker that originates from South Africa. It's an Uzi-type layout that uses proprietary 12 gauge mini-shells. Just something neat that I wanted to share.

SOG used to sell these a few years back and still get one once in awhile.

    Pretty cool design.

Too bad about the proprietary ammo. That's probably a good thing though, as I'd start lusting after one if I thought I could feed it...

If the only thing different about the shell is the length, I imagine one could fabricate a set of dies for it and handload for it. (But, I have a feeling it's more than just shell length....)

The write up claimed it uses a 2.36" shell.

I'm wondering if 1.5" Aguila mini-shells would feed. If not, you could always cut .4" off of a regular shell and re-crimp it, I'd imagine.

Ingterisiting gun. I wonder if you can get spare mags for it. It would be a crying shame to have only one mag for it.

I remember those shotguns. I also remember they had less than stellar reviews of them as well.

When these were out in volume, people were returning them all the time because when you shoot it, its not like a standard pump shotgun when you just pullback. You have to push forward a bit for it to unlock (something that I figured that could have been modified out).

They are designed for the mini shells like the Agulias.
Spare mags are hard to come by but not impossible.
The originals had a top folding stock and much shorter barrel. I had always wondered if it could be modified into a semi auto config.

I agree except I want my flavor to be Benelli M2.
