My new found friend. My Russian TT33. I love her so much.

I got her as arsenal refinished surplus. She was purchased from a backwoods hunting shop about an hour drive from my place. THey were really nice about it because they let me look at all of them and pick the nicest one, they also let me take the nicest grips off one of the other ones and put them on mine. The guy at the counter then came out with a like new holster and lanyard for me at no extra cost. The one that was supposed to come with it was garbage.

After hosing the cosmoline off with brake cleaner I took her out for a spin.

    and here is a video

    Very happy with the purchase.

    Very happy indeed

    Very cool!

I've been thinking about getting a Romanian TT-33 to add to my collection of Cold War guns, since they are so affordable right now.

I'm guessing gun laws must be alright in Nova Scotia. For one thing I see you don't have the US mandated manual safety added to it for import.

We have the national Handgun registry in Canada but thankfully we are not forced to have any import markings or added safety. the handgun is exactly as it was in Russia.

I think that just might be the best looking tokarev i've ever seen.
History has a severe case of stuttering complicated by chronic hiccups.
It always repeats itself and it never fails that something will go horribly wrong along the way.

Direct democracy is a gang rape. Eight men vote to rape one woman and the woman has to accept it because the majority decided that it was ok. A constitutional republic on the other hand is eight men and one woman with a full mag. Think about it for a while until it hurts your head.

Thats what i thought as well. Direct result of the gun shop owner letting me paw over every single one he had and mix n match the grips to make the perfect tokarev.

Now i am on the hunt for a nagant 1895 revolver.

Congrats! I've owned a Tokarev for years. A great weapon with a great cartridge!
