Not always. After BamBam's first election there was the big buying frenzy and prices went way up. Then two years later when there was no move for another AWB prices dropped. I picked up 5 AR receivers for 35 bucks each during that glut.

Really, ammo spiked in 2005 the firs time and it wasn't an election year. Obungler made it spike again for sure and I expect the same again. Same with weapon sales going ballistic after his 2008 election. That time gun sales spiked 35% higher than normal and stayed there for over 6 months post election.
