    Question Price Check Please

All the info I have at the moment is (Norinco NDM-86, .308 with "1985 style scope"). Seems like I recall something about these being sold by CDNN that had some kind of problem. Any info about potential issues and any real world selling prices as well as any value added items to look for such as cases and or accessories would be greatly appreciated.

For the official poop, check the CDNN website. I remember seeing a notice about those there.

The asking price for the .308 with it's fancy box and stuff that came with it is around $4000.

Notice that these are actual sold prices. Anyone asking more will be sitting on them for quite a while.

I bought an SVD several years ago for my son in new condition...I paid $2,500 for it then (about 10 years ago) but you have to realize that the government only allowed the Russians to send in 100 and only 98 of them made it to market...imagine that! eh!

Went to Moscow and picked up the plastic stock for it and other goodies...would have preferred an FG-42...but, well hell, last one offered to me was $30k and it was well used and still in Europe.

Embargoes, blockades, and other bans are the only reason prices are as high as they are. Something about shall not be infringed really bothered FDR, LBJ, and later GHWB.

The problem was a heavy firing pin and no spring on it to prevent slam fireing soft commercial civilian primers. Supposedly they fixed all of them in inventory and recalled the rest. Honestly unless you JUST HAVE to HAVE a Dragunov type weapon in the collection there are better shooting, (more accurate) weapons for half the price. I would suggest a National Match m1A or one of the new .308 AR15 variants. Iif your goal is to have a self loading .308 rifle that is accurate and can be scoped definitely go the flat top AR route.

Thanks for the replies. This particular firearm is coming up at an estate sale / auction and the only reason I would consider it is if it was going really cheap, so to speak.
