Check out this little pre ban beauty I picked up Yesterday. *Box lock .45 Cal pistol*

Cost $325 CDN. But I had to have it. Antique firearms are at a premium in Canada because they do not require a license and are not regulated by any laws. I was told this one was from around 1820. I dont have the wrench to load it but I don't plan on firing it anyway. You can see the small rectangular lug on the barrel for turning it off.

It loads by removing the barrel with a wrench, filling a pre measured tiny hole in the frame of the pistol with blackpowder (about the size of a small capsule tylenol, lay the 45 calibre ball on top of the measured hole and screw the barrel on over the ball. place percussion cap on nipple, cock hammer all the way and put the safety on which is that slider behind the hammer. Then place in pocket.

I was considering when I have some free time to construct a display box for it.

Holy crap Henry Nock built! Very nice. BTW you could just muzzle load it if you really wanted to shoot it. I'd have to fire it once at least.
