When will the ammo shortage end?

I am finally able to beef up my ammo supply and this is what happens?!? A freaking ammo shortage! I just need some 9mmx19, 7.62 x 39mm, and 7.62x54R because I am running low and I need to target practice.

    When will this madness end?!?

Probably 3-6 months, but predictions are hard to make.

However, AIM has (or had, I bought a case on Sat) cases of Bulgarian 7.62x54R for about $79 plus shipping. I think that's pretty reasonable.

Detail alert, 1 spam can is not a case. A case is 2 cans and the prices used to be $79 for 2 of them, now its $79 for one of them. Still for less than 18 cents a round 54R is one of the cheapest rounds to shoot these days. You won't find 7.62x39 for less than 25 cents even after this crap goes away if it ever does.

When pigs fly. At least that's how things are looking at the moment.

Well considering that gun sales are at all time highs, more guns=more ammo.
I think that ammo sales will be brisk all of the way through spring, we in the
northeast are going to be coming into better weather in a couple of months
and will want to get outside to shoot, with ammo in short supply, those of
us that were stocked up before all of this shit started will still be reluctant
to shoot a lot because we don't know if or when we can replace the ammo
    we use. It sucks!

Soon as the people you idolize quit hoarding it on our dime.

I'm guessing it'll be towards the end of this year before we see any relief.

The only shooting I've done of late was on Saturday. I shot six .303 British reloads to test a batch I was doing for a neighbor.

Always wondered WHY Janet Napolitano was buying so much. I think they are trying to force a shortage just to be jerks. Very Clintonian thing to do. Use OUR tax money to make US pay more, by buying and stockpiling everything that WE want.

Just got two boxes of .44 mag and one of .45 at wall mart. Said that they had .22 last night and sold out of it in 30 minutes! (3 box limit.)

Quit feeding the beast and it will end fairly quickly.

If people would relax a bit and quit buying it then production and imports would catch up.

If you don't need it don't buy it, but if you hit walmart and buy as many as you can simply because you can then it's going to be a long while yet.

I think the initial panic buying it pretty much done now. A lot of places that were selling out of 1000 rd of 223 for 900 bucks. Now they still have cases in stock for 900 bucks. So at least most people seem to have decided that was stupid and quit buying it for that price.
