Lawmakers, aides may get Obamacare exemption

Congressional leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, sources in both parties said.

The talks — which involve Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio), the Obama administration and other top lawmakers — are extraordinarily sensitive, with both sides acutely aware of the potential for political fallout from giving carve-outs from the hugely controversial law to 535 lawmakers and thousands of their aides. Discussions have stretched out for months, sources said.

A source close to the talks says: “Everyone has to hold hands on this and jump, or nothing is going to get done.”

    No surprise here.

They all consider themselves so superior to the working class, they should have better benefits.

Only "Little People" pay income taxes...

Every law they pass needs to apply to them first. Every war should be started by their own kids and relatives in combat. Freaking legal insider traders.

    What's this MAY crap?

    They already have it.
It was written into the original bill when they "passed" it.
History has a severe case of stuttering complicated by chronic hiccups.
It always repeats itself and it never fails that something will go horribly wrong along the way.

Direct democracy is a gang rape. Eight men vote to rape one woman and the woman has to accept it because the majority decided that it was ok. A constitutional republic on the other hand is eight men and one woman with a full mag. Think about it for a while until it hurts your head.

If they put themselves above the law, they need to be removed from office and people who remember that this country is of the people, by the people and FOR the people need to be installed.

We can conceivably keep the one we have with a few small alterations.

Since this country is starting to become so queer friendly, we can change the red, white and blue to pink, cream and aqua.

I'm sure the guys flying the black flag will finally love and accept us because of it.
