Need Help For My Iver Johnson .22 Carbine

I got this fun little rifle a few years ago from my FIL, just haven't done much with it due to other toys needing more attention

So, last night I tore it apart and gave it a complete cleaning (something my FIL doesn't believe in, lol), thinking that was the reason why the action was sluggish and would not completely close all the time.

Well, it is still sluggish and I'm thinking that one, or both springs are just plain worn out.

Would that be a fair assessment? And were would I get replacement springs?

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Perhaps check Brownells. That would be the first place that comes to my mind.

ATAK, I'm guessing you have an EM-1 Carbine like pictured above. These were actually made by Erma-Werke located in Dachau, Germany and imported to the USA by Iver Johnson during the 1980's. It looks like Numrich offers replacement parts at the link below. Hope this helps!

    After today, it's all historical.
