Yes.

But not because he is some great truthful person, but because he has no power to do it either way. He can't so much tell a church when to have a picnic, so he certainly can't force them to marry anyone if they don't want to.

Uh, yeah, lots of these people HATE the Christian right. Many of them deny God. MANY are incredibly imbittered at not being shown the respect and acceptance they feel they are entitled too in a church. So FUCK yeah they will sue. Its only a matter of time.

A few may try, but they will fail. It's pretty well established law.

Marraige is first and foremost a RELIGIOUS institution. It is legal second.

Yep, totally agree. So why does the second get to overrule the first? If the religions are willing to marry gay people then why does the government have the say and not the religions?

Or until recently when socialists in this country declared war on Christianity and set out to hobble or possibly destroy it by undermining all of its teachings and beliefs. The left WANTS to destroy it. And this is just part of it. Again, they want to rule OVER us. They cannot rule those who rule themselves.

What makes you think all gays are even democrats? Democrats haven't exactly been for gay rights. In most states where gay marriage amendments came up the democratic parties official position was to vote for the amendment!

It's what they did here in Missouri. The "sample ballot" for the democratic party said to vote to add an amendment to ban gay marriage.

That is actually when the democratic party truly lost me for good as a possible member.

Go read about socialism a bit kad, then get back to me. They even, in some ways, bear a striking similiarity in views with fascism. They are ANTI-AMERICAN. In almost everything they stand for. And this is just another part of it.

Pretty sure socialism and certainly fascism have been against gay rights...go look up the history of the pink triangle.

Only the government is forbidden from denying a constitutional right.

There is no freedom of speech inside a church, they are free to toss you out and bar entry if they don't like what you have to say.

It's not my thing either, but to each their own.

I don't drink coffee, don't understand how people can put that nasty stuff in their mouths...but I try not to be overly judgmental about people who do.

Some of my best friends drink coffee

On the other side, I'll admit to really enjoying getting my pole smoked, by a woman....and I'm fairly sure the bible had something to say about that as well, so did several state governments.

I figured you'd side step the obvious. All a person has to do is ask themselves "do I want my kids to be hetero, or gay". And saying it wouldn't matter is both a copout and lie.
