I'm sure the guy who makes the pouches could make them bigger, but I have no use for the US Made mags, as all that I'm aware of have issues.
Oh, and all of mine are now 10rd magazines.

AKT,
Besides the Surefire's lacking metal reinforcements, I've found them to be overly bulky and make shooting prone difficult.
FBMGs...don't even get me started.

Ahhhh, very nice indeed. Would be handy in the woods on a hog hunt or such.
My 4 surefire mags(25) have been awesome for me, except for costing 45 bucks each.
The Milkman
My FBMG mags all work great - they are some of the ones made "in the middle" if that makes any sense.
I would like some quality steel mags though - for this and my .223 Saiga.

The only FBMG mag that worked for me was the mag body with the original internals. The others jammed up after 10 rounds.

Ok, the pouches arrived today.
Because all my MOLLE gear is packed up in preparation for the big move, but I can give a "general impressions" review the now.
1) As the pictures show, the stitching on these magazine pouches is tight, neat, and clean. No threads hanging off or other signs of sloppy work.
2) They fit both S-308 8rd mags and AK single stack 5 round mags
3) The MOLLE webbing on the back is tight. I've seen some custom pouches where it was loose enough to allow everything to sag once placed on your gear. Not the case with these.
4) Working with Tony was a pure pleasure. He was timely in his responses, helpful and insightful with his suggestions, and prompt. From the time I first PM'd him with the initial idea to the day they arrived on my front stoop was less than 3 weeks. Honestly, it would have been quicker but I had some major personal shit hit the fan and I wasn't able to get the Saiga mag to him as early as I would have liked because of it.
For those of you with PSLs, Veprs, etc, if you can send him a mag, he can make you a similar pouch. He's also open to customizations depending on your needs. Originally, Tony asked about using Velcro. Some folks love it, others hate it. I'm firmly in the "haters" portion. I told him I preferred a fastex buckle for many reasons; security of the magazine and making sure the pouch doesn't fill with crap. Because Saiga mags are squat, he then suggested bungees. Again, normally not an issue, but for these magazines, not my preference.
Tony, being incredibly talented, then came up with a work around in order to get the fastex buckles to work. So far, it seems to work quite well. Obviously I won't be able to tell for sure until I get it out in the field and play with it; trying to open it up wet, with gloves on, under pressure, covered in filth, but I have no doubt it will suit my needs.
I'm including pictures of the prototype with the Bungee retention so those so inclined can see:
Here's the Velcro Prototype as well:
Tony's Website is Retro Tactical and he now carries these Saiga mag pouches in stock. He also makes stock saddles for a variety of other weapons, for you C&R guys. Like I said, he's definitely worth talking to for you guys looking for mag pouches for the 20 and 25rd Saiga magazines and those with PSLs.

Wow! Glad to be back! Hey Lysander, how did you get the mag to hold 10 rounds? I cut down my follower and I can only get 9 in it? Maybe i didnt cut enough off, or is there another trick? Thanks.

OK that's pretty cool.
I wonder if they would fit 308 bolt rifle 10 round mags?
Nice setup.I'm going to look into some options for some M14 mags.

What are the dimensions? There is room still in the pouches, not enough that the magazine flops around inside, but certainly enough that a taller/fatter mag could fit. With the adjustable buckle I think you could even fit a much taller mag inside.
If you post up your dimensions, I'll do some measurements and let you know.
