My fiance and I ventured into Pittsburgh the other day to see the biggest duck on this side of the world. It's a giant replica of a rubber duck floating where the Ohio, Allegheny, and Monongahela Rivers meet in Pittsburgh. It is on display until Oct. 20th. across from Heinz Field (you can see it in the background in the water fountain picture). I felt out of place being in a big city, but it was interesting seeing the skyscrapers and the strange looking folks everywhere. I'm sure I was just as strange-looking to them. I wouldn't mind kayaking in this same spot.
I also realized in this adventure why so many people in the city don't own cars: There's nowhere to park and it takes 30 minutes to drive just a couple of miles...
