When it rains, it pours...
I just got back from my VA checkup. I now have type 2 diabetes. Tomorrow I contact my DAV rep and file a herbicide exposure claim, to go along with my already claim for prostate cancer. ....chris3

i gvot thast news a yr or 2 back. i was told its "irreversible" and once they tell me i have it, theres no way back, and i HAVE to be on meds for the rest of my life.
changed my diet a bit. nothing extreme, just a few small changes. did a little exercise, lost a few lbs, and now my blod sugar is well into the normal range. no drugs, no drs.
dont take it as a terrible disease, you may actually need to take the drugs, i dont know how bad your case is, but its nothing that will cripple you and a little bit of work on it can really help you along.
