    Is the 124 gr. NATO M882 9mm a +p round?

I was wondering if the 9mm NATO supplies troops is +P. I have heard it was and then it wasn't. Anyone know?

I believe it is slightly less than SAAMI's definition of +p. Hotter than than standard but not quite +p.

+p ammo has to be labeled as such to be saleable in the US, and I've never seen 9mm NATO loads labeled that way. Online retailers may refer to them as +p, but I've never seen it on the box.

Are you referring to the standard white box 124 gr. FMJ's by Winchester? I have thought about picking some of those up.

    no.. it's winchester ranger.

IMHO.. buy hornady critical defense/duty or Gold dot +P .

Is the Beretta 92 F/S a +p rated firearm? I have seen good things about the Gold Dot standard and +p loads. Are the Critical Defense loads by Hornady similar?

Winchester does make a white box 9mm NATO.

Also, the current production ranger t-series should do everything the old black talons did but even better:

Also I think I prefer Federal HST as it performs similarly, but is a little more geared towards softer targets then the barrier penetrating Ranger T-series which appears to get clogged with demin in a way that I haven't seen with the other modern HPs.

Per the owners manual Beretta does not "recommend extended use of +P, +P+ or submachine gun ammo".

I was saying that Ranger T-series got clogged in the denim in that particular test.

You should watch the tests and see the results. The Ranger t-series rocked in the bare gel, but with four layers of denim in front of the gel, it clogged and failed to expand.

The Federal HST seemed to do better through the denim, although I would reckon that it perform less well through barriers than the Ranger T-series.

Just trying to get more educated on new bullet tech. That is all. Plus I got to buy my sister some .38 special for her 41' Colt. So I would like to get her the best I can find in bullet tech along with my 9mm.

You think those modern rounds would be safe in a 1941 Colt?

anything that late into the game will handle 38 special rounds easily.

Keep in mind 38 special was king until about 1983 when autos got affordable enough for most police departments.
