IMO its amazing. I've never tasted anything quite like it. Up front you get black licorice and fennel with smoke, then on the finish burnt sugar and clove. Another trick this hooch has; is as your tasting the licorice the mouth feel seems thick and oily, then as it transitions to the finish you get this feel that it thins out and becomes somewhat astringent, then you get hit with the clove at the end. I really like the stuff. When I go out to buy wings this afternoon I'm going to pick a jug up.
I like the Bakers quite a bit, and Old Overholt isn't bad. But Jim Beam Rye is horrible, just ghastly stuff.
I've now got 3 jugs of rye that I think I need to vat with some Rittenhouse to get rid of them. Beam Rye, Knob Creek Rye and the High West. I figure if I mix these 2 parts Rittenhouse to 1 part sucky rye, the goodness of the Rittenhouse will mask the awfulness of the jugs I need gone. I'd like to get a large enough vessel to do a couple liters at a time.
One of these would work:http://www.northernbrewer.com/shop/b...a-growler.html
Peer pressure.....had to reach for the OGD114 after talking about it for days.

El Jefe, if you can find a link to your review, would you link it up here?
Somebody has to tell me what I'm tasting!
Yes, Stan, I am the root of all your evil!
Tell ya what, tore into the Weller Antique tonight, damn, what an awesome pour! Now I really want a couple bottles of the 12 year.
As far as describing the Antique, think caramel apple crossed with red hots cinnamon candy. Damn I like this hooch.
There have been some technical issues with the site of late...
