Heh............ I have a fur-skinning shed now with a GI multi-fuel stove. All I have to do is drop a few sticks of wood into it and light it up. It can snow, rain or blow all it wants to now.

Stan, good to see ya. Happy New Year to you.

It has been. Too mild. We've been want to go out and smoke some wolves, but with the warmer weather they tend to stay out of reach.

The cold is all up in the interior on the other side of the Alaska Range. It got down to -59 F in Chicken last night which is over in the eastern interior near the Canadian border.

It dropped down into the 20s for a couple days out here on the AKPEN then it warmed up and started raining and blowing again. All the cod fishermen huddled in port until it blew over. So ya'll are gonna get your McD's Whalers a little late.

About 70 miles south of Fairbanks between Nenana and Healy.

It's cold now, but back in September when I was up there moose hunting and house buying, it was supposed to be cooling down into the 20s at night and 40s to 50s during the day. It was up into the 60s and even cracked 70 a few days. We had to keep the doors and windows open at night to stay cool and were chewed on by the gnats.

In the summer it gets up into the 80s and even 90s. Of course then there are the seasonal wildfires that show up with the high temps.
