    Really? Who could have thought the .gov is buying billions of rounds and wants to destroy who knows what? Damn put these people out of their rabid state.

    Well, buying up all of the ammo and then destroying it is a great way to keep it out of our hands.......

    Link works for me. They are talking about the services not coordinating between themselves. The Army has x amount of ammo as surplus. The Marine Corp needs that ammo but the Army doesn't know they need it and the Marines don't know the Army has it so they buy more. The Army ends up scrapping the ammo because it went unused and expired. Kind of along those lines. No where did I read that they were buying and then scrapping the newly purchased ammo. Nothing I read was any different than the way if was when I was in service 25+ years ago. Big government is wasteful.
