Will build on it over the weekend. Back to the shooters brace on the tube, it took all my strength and I heated it with a blow dryer to get it to stretch over that Phase 5 buffer tube. The brace is supposed to seat in the recess where the rotation limiting adapter plates go under the castle nut.

On a side issue I'm trying to figure out who I can get to engrave the receiver PISTOL.

Sure, an Osprey 7" Carbine gas system kit would do the trick as far as getting rid of the gas tube. But you would still need the buffer tube and that's ok. If I get tired ... I can always rest the shooters brace on my chest right about near my armpit / shoulder. Hell, if I'm real tired my head might even droop down and rest on the top of the brace.

Going to get one of these Samson Mfg. 10" rails. When I put my AAC can on, it should look a little like the front end of the rifle in this small image.

Being a pistol though, no vertical grips.

It was a complete pistol lower including the arm brace. Its still there when I click on it, but listed as out of stock. It was $269 I think.
