    Weller Antique & a Hoyo Epi-2.

I'll tell ya, this is a great pairing.

I've rambled on about the Epi-2 enough already, so I'll focus on the Weller Antique.

WA as many of you know is a wheater from Buffalo Trace. As far as I can tell its the same juice as the Special Reserve, but at a higher proof point. No idea about rick house selection or any of that.

The main flavor points are burnt sugar, cinnamon, smoke and a hint of mint/citrus. I really, really like this stuff and would suggest it to anyone who likes a wheat bourbon with some punch. I much prefer the Weller whiskeys to Makers or Larceny. I can't wait to get my hands on some of the Weller 12 year. I can only imagine how good that stuff must be.

Good one, El Jefe. To me, Makers Mark is the Macanudo of the bourbon world, but I am
    quite snobbish.

Damn, none of those bottles are sold anywhere near here.

I've been thinking here these past few days about how mad I should make the wife before we get back from Kentucky. Once I cross the Kentucky border, I'm stopping at the first liquor store I see. And the next one, and the....

I must confess, that is not my stockpile. I've been looking around for that Old Grand Dad 114...nowhere to be found. Also the Elmer T. Lee seems to have dried up. I had to settle for a bottle of Rittenhouse. Meh...

About a year ago, ABC had a "Bourbon Club". They had a drawing, quarterly, for
a hard to find bottle or two or so. I actually WON. Couldn't believe it! Had to pay
    for it, of course. $80.

I'd pay $80 buck to try a bottle of Pappy, no problem.

And that is actually the problem.
