    Gransfors Bruks Hand Hatchet

    20yr warranty on these. Not cheap though. So anyone have one of these?

    Don't own one but in the circles I move in online the GB is highly regarded as far as quality goes. You can surely buy a cheaper hatchet and probably a more expensive but I doubt you can buy a better one.

    Personally I don't see it. Over 100 bucks to get a retro looking hatchet. I'd rather get the Gerber at the link. That handle won't absorb water like that wooden one on the $109 dollar status symbol hatchet.

    Those Gerber' hatchets are also known to have handle breakage issues, kind of like Cold Steel's Spetznaz wanna be shovel great shovel..terrible handle.

    EDIT: Looking at the link it looks like Fiskars has their name on the Gerber shovel which is an upgrade as anyone who has owned Fiskars garden and farm tools knows...they make stuff that lasts forever. I have a 15+ year old pair of their heavy duty pruning shears and they are awesome! I mean they will clip branches that some folks won't touch without a chainsaw or a hatchet.
