My question now and years before now. If I live in a ccw state, I have a permit provided from the state and I decide to go to one of these places to eat.
They have a sign, no no, so I bend to their wishes. are they now, since they choose their course, responsible for their actions and my security? I they fail to provide that
and something mean happens can we/you sue them into hell?

this is a very legitimate question.

Piss on em. Send a nasty gram telling them how you will never use their store to eat at again. Loss of revenue will turn their heads around really quick.

While I do recommend a letter, and I will work on one today or tomorrow, I do not recommend saying that you will never eat in their stores again. The reason is that most people won't follow through, and the businesses know it, so it doesn't have the desired effect, or any effect. I intend to state in my letter something like, "due to safety concerns arising from realizing that only criminals intent on evil will now have firearms in their stores, I will be thinking twice about whether I want to subject my family to that environment."

As for Chipotle's liability, as they are removing firearms from their facilities I bet they could argue that any people injured or killed are not their fault. Because most judges are of a more liberal mindset, I think their argument would be looked on favorably by the courts.

If you read the article, their statement was the result of "gun rights advocates brought military-style assault rifles into one of its restaurants in Texas." It made some of the other patrons uncomfortable. I can understand the patrons reactions and the company's response. You will find no stronger supporter of gun rights than myself, but as gun owners we must act responsibly. The open carry of an AR15 or AK47 does nothing to help our cause. I carry concealed and patronize Chipotle's. I will continue to do both.

I'm not a Lawyer, any answer I give is opinion. Personally I would sue the shit out of them provided I survived the incident.
