    computer Q

    turn the computer on to a tv/monitor it makes a sound like an extended eennnnnnn and repeats itself. tv /monitor says no signal.
    just bought the vga card and all worked fine. now.....

    Make sure the resolution and refresh rate are compatible.

    What sort of cable are you using? HDMI, DVI, VGA, component, s-video?

    hdmi. took the side panel off and checked everything. plugged it back up and it worked, except Microsoft/windows says we need a activation code and when we try to bypass it just logs us out.

    High pitched whining from the monitor usually means a bad monitor, or a monitor that's being asked to do more than it can handle. IMHO, I don't like HDMI plugs, they always seem to come loose. You still have my number, right JG? Feel free to call me, I can probably talk you through it faster than forum posts.
