What Should I Charge for This?

It is a Aero-Precision lower with a DelTon upper, in 5.56. Nothing special except the carry handle is removable. I have 7 steel mags that would go with it.

I and a friend were talking about an expected upcoming transfer to California and what I would need to do with my AR. He said he would really like to buy it if the price were right. My plan, if I were to sell this, would be to either buy a nice AR or build another one with some upgrades when I move out of California about 5 years from now. Anyway, what do you think is a fair price for both he and I?

I tried to push the envelope, but found that it was stationery.

Have you heard about the new corduroy pillows? They're making head lines!

I was thinking about $700-800 myself so I was right in there. I need to see how much a new rifle kit will cost to make sure I can replace it when I leave.

Not there yet, but expect to be there in about 18 months.

My 2 cents, find a storage unit in Nevada just across the Communist line. Keep the weapon there as you never know when the next Government Ban might come down. You could find yourself unable to get another. As far as the price goes, $7 bills maximum. The rifle may be in pristine shape but it still is "used" and so are the magazines. New C Products 30 round aluminum mags are running $9 and the Stainless Steel C Products mags are running $10 each at Aim Surplus.

Friendly price $700. But I have to agree with Scheutz, keep it.

I am definitely leaning towards keeping it. I really like it and I built it. I am not the most mechanically inclined person and I am pretty proud of it. I have a BIL in Oklahoma where I would probably keep it. I like to look at options though, hence the question. I agree that $700 is probably the right price, but that will not really allow me to upgrade the rifle so I will probably not do it. I will point my friend to some other deals I saw when looking at GunBroker though.

I guarantee if you do not keep it, you will wish you had.
