I am not scared of spiders but this made me cringe a bit. It was cool watching the two different species tangle on his hand.

EDIT: Can a mod or an admin fix my thread title?

I worked under houses for a long time and those fuckers always kept me on alert.

In addition to those two, we also have shit tons of brown widows down here.

I have heard of Brown Widows. Are they as dangerous as the Black Widows?

Supposedly they usually choose not to inject their full payload of venom, making their bites generally less severe than black widows.

You can spot their eggs because they're covered in little spikes.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck that shit! I'll admit it, spiders give me the creeps to begin with, but these two really really freak me the fuck out. Seen enough of them in Arkansas to last me a life time. Ever wake up with a brown recluse sitting in the palm of your hand? I could have about pissed myself. Then there was that one I found laying on its back with its legs curled up. I thought it was dead so I flipped it over to identify it. Not only was it a brown recluse, it wasn't dead at all!

Nah i hate spiders. When my wife and i moved into the house a few years back the place had been sitting unoccupied for a while and had become over run (outside around all the overhangs) with spiders and webs. I bought a good load of "Demon WP" and soaked the entire property down before we physically moved in. I even treated all the trees, bushes an lawn with the shit. There wasnt even a house fly for a good 6 months after we moved in as a result.

    Fuck bugs.

No, brown widows are the male and are not poisonous. They are used for one thing and that's breeding. Then afterwards the black widow kills it.

Those spiders ended up in the "friend zone".

A Brown Widow is a different species than the Brown Recluse or Black Widow.

We have black widows living under the stairs at my back door and one who has built a web in our telephone stand just inside the front door. They are keeping the scorpions at bay. Each one has caught half a dozen so far.

My wife hates scorpions she has been stung 6 times, once this morning. When she saw the first scorpion caught in the widows web, the black widows were immediately granted amnesty from the dreaded flip flop smash

Wow! The battle of the insects there. I have heard scorpions have a pretty bad disposition. Are their stings poisonous or is it like a bee sting?

Check out what the male widow looks like. There brown. I've always refered to them as brown widows. Didn't know that they were different
