    Question Question on Wolf WPA

Found this on a local estate sale listing.

They don't show the actual box but AIM has WPA for $245.00 a case delivered.

Haven't bought any 7.62x39 in years and don't know if this WPA is like the old Wolf in the black box I have or not? Any problems with the WPA? Figured I'd check out the auction and if I can get the ammo for less than what I can from AIM I might buy it.

This may not apply, but I've shot a lot of WPA 223 in my AR. I have has no problems what so ever with it. Haven't shot WPA in 7.62 though.

I bought 1000 rounds for about $230 a couple of years ago. Never had any issues. My AK eats it up no problem and its fairly accurate. $245 seems to be a pretty good price these days.

New WPA is made by Barnaul, which essentially makes this ammo polymer coated brown bear in a Wolf box.

It should be fine for plinking.

This stuff is a little better though. Lacquer coating and sealed primers and bullets makes it better for storing and the increased velocity and better bullet design increases its terminal performance: http://www.sgammo.com/product/golden...n-russian-ammo

I think this is the same stuff, but I'm not sure. It is $191.44 per thousand plus shipping.

WPA IS GOOD AMMO. I've got a lot of this in 7.62 and 223. And never had any issues. And if I had 245 to blow on ammo right now I'd pick it up in a heart beat brother

Thank you all for the replies. I'll see what happens on the day of the auction. If I can get it for under $200 I might go for it. That being said, as with any auction it only takes two people to drive the bidding from "fair market price" to something approaching insanity. Very little firearms and or ammo so maybe it won't draw a lot of folks to bid against
