Picked up another 700 tonight in trade

had a Marlin 30a and a mismatched Swede mauser that i wasn't using and no longer wanted in the safe and was offered a trade. Both for a nice Remington 700 in 22-250. Interesting calibre that I wanted to try out for a while. Rifle is perfect inside and out other then the recalled butt pad melt. I will be contacting Remington for another pad shortly. I cant wait to get out and try this sweet lil darlin on a coyote's head. Came with a pretty nice tasco varmint scope. I know Tasco is low end, but the scope is really clear and has good magnification plus those little dots for different ranges so i am happy as long as it works. Here she is getting to know my other girl in .270 win. New on is on bottom (They both look the same lol)

I really like the Remington 700. It fits me well and my .270 shoots like a dream so I am expecting the same from the new one.

Forgot to mention the stock has been properly bedded by a smith. I can notice a bigger gap then my untouched 700

here is a .223 rem next to a 22-250. Same bullet more powder

Whats the effective range on that? Ive shot .270 and .243 and they were both tack drivers.

I been told 300 yards on coyote head size targets. Probably further.

since the .223 can push out to that far if you know the wind well, i would expect more out of this one.

Definitely more than 300. I've done 300 with a .22. 600 with my old SPR.

very nice, I have a 700 and it is a fine rifle, very very accurate. You should do sub MOA with the right ammo easily.
