Like getting a job with the empire under Darf Vader.
"And how we burned in the camps later thinking, what would things have been like, if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain, whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?"
If you look at a clock and the time is 3:15, what is the angle between the hour and the minute hands? (The answer to this is not zero!)
Well, consider that 3 o'clock would be 90 degrees apart (the hour and minute hands exactly 15 minutes apart). Divide that by 3 to figure out how many degrees 5 minutes apart would be: 30 degrees (the distance between each big hourly number).
Then, finally, consider that at 3:15 the hour hand would be 1/4 of the way towards the next 5 minute interval (the big number 4), therefore the answer is 30 degrees divided by 4 which equals 7.5 degrees apart.
Damn, those are some fun math problems. I need to apply for a Google job.
"That tyranny has all the vices both of democracy and oligarchy is evident. As of oligarchy so of tyranny, the end is wealth; (for by wealth only can the tyrant maintain either his guard or his luxury). Both mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms." -- Aristotle, Book V, 350 B.C.E
